Changing column widths

The Property inspector lets you specify the width of a column in three ways.

To set the column width:

1 Click in any of the column's cells or select the column.
2 Choose Window > Properties to open the Property inspector.
3 In the W field, do one of the following:
Enter a number to set the column width to the specified number of pixels.
Enter a number followed by the percent symbol (%) to set the column width to a percentage of the table width.
Leave the field blank (the default) to let the browser and Dreamweaver determine the proper width based on the contents of the cell and the widths of the other columns. Generally, space is allocated based on the longest line or the widest image. This is why one column sometimes becomes much larger than the other columns in the table when you add content to it.
