Using external HTML editors

You may want to use a text editor to hand-code large amounts of HTML, JavaScript, or VBScript. You can use any external text editor with Dreamweaver, including Notepad (bundled with Windows 95 and NT) or SimpleText (bundled with the Macintosh), BBEdit, HomeSite, vi, emacs, and TextPad. See Using an external text editor with Dreamweaver and Using BBEdit with Dreamweaver (Macintosh only).
