Preview in Browser preferences
Preview in Browser preferences display the currently defined primary and secondary browsers. To open Preview in Browser preferences, choose Edit > Preferences and select Preview in Browser, or choose File > Preview in Browser > Edit Browser List. (For details, see Previewing in browsers.)
Preview Using Local Server (Windows only) allows you to choose whether to use a local server when you preview a page in a browser. (For this option to work, you must be running server software on your local computer.) When this option is selected, Dreamweaver supplies the current page for previewing by a local server as a URL beginning with http://localhost/. When this option is deselected, Dreamweaver opens the document in a browser with a file path beginning with file://. In some cases, links specified as root-relative paths do not work correctly when opened in a browser with a file:// path. This also applies when you run a target browser check. See Previewing in browsers.
The Plus (+) button adds a browser to the list.
The Minus (-) button deletes the selected browser from the list.
Edit changes settings for the selected browser.
Primary Browser and Secondary Browser specify whether the selected browser is the primary or secondary browser. F12 opens the primary browser; Control+F12 (Windows) or Command+F12 (Macintosh) opens the secondary browser.
