Viewing local sites

The Site window can display the contents of both local and remote sites. Local sites can be viewed in the Site window as a list of files, a visual map, or both. Remote sites can be viewed as a list of files only. (Before you can view a remote site, you must set one up; see Setting up a remote site.)

To view local site files, do one of the following:

Choose Window > Site Files.
In the Site window, if the site map is showing, click the Site Files button.
The Site window displays two sets of files: one side of the window lists the files in your local site, and one side lists the associated remote site files.
Note: If you are viewing a local site that has no corresponding remote site, the Remote Site view is empty.

To view the site map and the site files, do one of the following:

Choose Window > Site Map. (If you previously viewed the map only, without the site's files, this displays the map only.)
In the Site window, click the Site Map button, or hold down the mouse button with the pointer over the Site Map button and select Map and Files from the pop-up menu.
The Site window displays two views: the local site as a map, labeled Site Navigation; and, depending on how you set your preferences, either the local site files (labeled Local Folder) or the remote site files (labeled Remote Site). See Changing Site window layout.

To view only the site map:

Hold down the mouse button with the pointer over the Site Map button and select Map Only from the pop-up menu. For more information, see Using the site map.
